Coronet Peak has been welcoming skiers since 1947, making it one of New Zealand's oldest established ski resorts. The mountain sits at 1,649m at its highest point, with a vertical drop of 450m across 25 named runs. The resort is owned and operated by NZSki, which also operates The Remarkables.

Getting There Coronet Peak is accessible by private vehicle or the NZSki ski bus service from Queenstown. The road to the resort is maintained and salted, but requires careful winter driving, particularly during or after snowfall.
